
Biography — PATRICK RHODE
Mr. Rhode’s career spans some two decades of dynamic executive management experience, including roles as Vice President of Corporate Affairs for the world’s largest international infrastructure firm operating in energy, airports, roadways and construction, service for the White House and federal agencies, Fortune 500 and 1000 companies, a successful U.S. presidential campaign, and corporate affairs management consulting advisory services.
As a sixteen year Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Cintra, and through the creation of the United States Advisory Board for parent company, Ferrovial, Mr. Rhode helped secure and protect more than $10 billion in complex new age infrastructure projects in high growth states navigating diverse geo-political and policy climates at the federal and state government levels.
Mr. Rhode has served as Special Assistant to the President of the United States, NASA Senior Advisor, and Associate Administrator of the U. S. Small Business Administration. He also served as Chief of Staff for two FEMA management administrations representing more than 2,500 permanent and disaster assistance employees within the then-newly created United States Department of Homeland Security after 9/11, where he was awarded high-level national security clearances.
He also served as Deputy Director of National Advance Operations for a U. S. presidential campaign, Director of Homeland Security and Intelligence for an international consulting firm and as a national spokesperson for both the White House and two Fortune 500 companies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Rhode was an Associated Press award-winning television reporter with CBS and ABC TV affiliates.
Mr. Rhode has been elected to Board positions including President of the Board of Directors of the American Road and Transportation Builders Association’s Public-Private Partnership Division. He also has been twice elected to the Board of Directors of the Texas Association of Business, elected to the Board of Directors of the Austin, Texas Chamber of Commerce, presented the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and awarded the Capitol Citation from the Arkansas Secretary of State.
A native of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Mr. Rhode earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Arkansas, a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and has completed senior executive education coursework at Harvard Business School. He and his family live in Dripping Springs, Texas.
